Nominations are now open for CTST’s annual volunteer recognition program - the Volunteer Awards.
Community Transport Services Tasmania (CTST) is proud to announce that nominations are now open for CTST’s Volunteer Awards – our annual program recognising the contribution of our volunteers across Tasmania in all services.
Every day, our volunteers help keep people connected, supported and able to live independently within their communities. Whether it’s:
· providing safe and reliable transport as a Volunteer Driver
· helping on the social outings as a Passenger Experience Volunteer
· offering warm conversation or supporting consumers with their shopping as a Social Support Volunteer
· helping in the garden to keep their home safely maintained as a Home Maintenance Volunteer or
· supporting our teams as an Admin Volunteer
our volunteers play an essential role in what makes CTST special.
This year’s awards continue our tradition of celebrating volunteers who best reflect CTST’s values in action – respect, kindness and connection, reliability and safety, and community impact.
Awards will be presented across the South, North and North West regions in the categories of Regional Champion and Rising Star - with one outstanding individual receiving our Doug Cooper Volunteer Award. Named in honour of Doug Cooper - long‑standing board member, volunteer and the first to receive CTST life membership.
“Our volunteers give so much of themselves to support people in their community,” said CEO Lyndon Stevenson. “These awards are an important way to recognise their kindness, commitment and the real difference they make every single day.”
